Flexographic Printing Meets Customer Demands
Our customers demand versatile print methods to meet their needs. Empire has answered that need with in-line flexographic printing. Limitless possiblilities can be achieved on our flexo presses. Empire can print on a variety of papers, films, and stocks with different coatings and laminations. We also print two-sided and multi-color printing up to ten colors using UV inks.
Computer to Plate Advantage
Empire's Flexo printing is an environmentally friendly printing process with low VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds). We have taken this green printing process one step further with a recent addition of a computer-to-plate (CTP) system. Not only do we eliminate costly films and chemicals, but gain several advantages in the process:
• CTP image is generated directly to the printing plate, which increases detail and sharpness of the image.
• CTP reduces losses in quality that were incurred with traditional film and platemaking methods.
• CTP effectively produces plates consistently, and in less time than traditional methods.
• CTP can also improve registration and image-to-edge repeatability over traditional methods.
Color Management
Color management is another benefit of flexo printing. At Empire, we can consistently maintain color from flexo to screen printing. This is a distinct advantage when a customer has the need to produce multiple parts for a campaign that require different print methods. We can produce versatile and vibrant parts with accuracy and efficiency, no matter what process is utilized.
Reduce Lead Time
Flexo has total in-line manufacturing: back printing, laminating, custom die cutting, perforating, slitting, and sheeting performed in one continuous operation to reduce lead time and cost.
