Please look at diagram above to see how dimensions were filled in boxes. The example above is for a die that will cut 6 rectangles with radius corners and a round hole out of a sheet. If the Die Estimate Form is filled out incorrectly the price displayed will not be accurate.

Measurements- Please give all measurement sizes in decimal inches, except if # (number) or text is required. Read instructions for more information. If you need to convert another unit of measurement, for example cm to inches or a fraction of an inch to decimal please use a calculator.

Part Size X- Horizontal measurement in decimal inches.

X Between- Horizontal space between each cavity in decimal inches. Enter only the dimension of the space between the parts, do not include the measurement of the part. If there is only one part please enter 0. Empire requires a between of at least .188" on rectangles with radius corners, circles and irregular shapes.

X # Steps- Number of times the part is repeated horizontally. If there is only one part, please enter 1. Do NOT give the step in inches, only the number of times the part is repeated.

Part Size Y- Vertical measurement in decimal inches.

Y Between- Vertical space between each cavity in decimal inches. Enter only the dimension of the space between the parts, do not include the measurement of the part. If there is only one part please enter 0. Empire requires a between of at least .188" on rectangles with radius corners, circles and irregular shapes.

Y # Steps- Number of times the part is repeated vertically. If there is only one part, please enter 1. Do NOT give the step in inches, only the number of times the part is repeated.

Corner Radius- On a rectangle with radius corners, please give corner radius in decimal inches.

Thickness of Material- Please give the thickness of material to be die cut in decimal inches, for example for 12 pt. stock enter .012". Our standard practice is to use Center Bevel Rule on Materials .001" to .015". We use Side Bevel Rule on materials .016" and above. Please note in Comments section if you would like to use a different rule, and check Please Confirm Price.

Type of Material- Please specify the type of material to be cut. For example hard white vinyl, velvet lexan, C1S card stock, corrugated cardboard, etc. Please be as specific as you can.

# of Holes- Number of round holes that are the same size cutout on each part. There is a place on the form to enter in a second set of holes. Any other shape hole or cutout please check "custom" under "Select a Shape."

Diameter- Size of round holes cut out of part. There is a place on the form to enter in a second set of holes.

Select a Shape- Rectangle with square corners, Rectangle with radius corners, Circle, or Custom shape. Empire can make dies to almost any custom shape, irregular shape or blueprint. Please attach a file of die layout or blueprint with estimate. Please select custom for irregular shapes, ovals, perforations, creases or multiple shapes on one die, please fill out your name and all the contact information and an Empire representative will contact you.

Ejection Material- Please choose Solid Rubber, Cube Rubber or No Rubber. Empire's default method is Solid Rubber.

Shipping Method- Choose from UPS Ground, UPS Next Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air, Worldwide Express and more.

Part Number- Your part number or how you would like to reference die.

Confirmation- "Online Estimating Only," pricing is subject to change. If you choose "Please Confirm Price" an Empire representative will review prices and send a price confirmation. Empire will not start making a die until a confirmed price is accepted by customer with approved credit.

Other Comments- If there are special instructions or questions please note them in the "Other Comments" section. Empire cutting dies will cut through the material. If you want the die to have nicks so the material will punch out, perforate, crease, score, etc. please type it in the comments section.

Attach Artwork or Blueprint- If you have a blueprint, sketch or artwork, please attach it with the estimate. If you only have a paper copy please fax it to 608-783-3306. Please write "Attention: Die Making Department" on fax along with your contact information and any other information about the job.

Notes: Please look at your piece with the writing at a readable direction, with the side to be die cut up, when giving horizontal and vertical measurements.
