Macintosh OSX FTP Instructions
(File Transfer Protocol)
Transferring Files between your company and Empire.
Files can be transferred to Empire's FTP site with a Mac
or PC using almost any FTP software.
It is best to use FTP software, not an internet browser like
Internet Explorer. There are a number of software packages that
can be downloaded free, like RBrowser listed below, or you can
use one that is already installed on your computer. Files can
be sent either way "from your company to Empire" and
"from Empire to your company"
Small files under 5mb may be e-mailed
to Empire. You can also mail a CD or disk to the address below.
Larger files may be uploaded to our FTP site. Depending on which
FTP program you are using the dialog boxes and steps may be slightly
different.
RBrowser

- Different versions are available for different Macintosh operating
systems.
- Install on Mac computer. An icon can be added to the dock if
wanted.

If a customer needs to use our FTP service, a FTP account
will be setup. A unique login and password will be e-mailed to
you.
*Note Empire's FTP site and website are different addresses.
* Please e-mail the art department at after you upload a file, so Empire knows the file
is ready to retrieve.
*Your User ID or Login Name is NOT an e-mail address (even
though it has an @ symbol)
