• Empire's custom made Steel Rule dies are made to the customers specifications, from the use of a blueprint, die film, or computer file. (Empire accepts a variety of formats: AutoCAD drawing, DXF file, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, etc.)
• Empire Steel Rule dies are programmed by in-house AutoCAD programmers, that have hands on Steel Rule die making experience.
• Empire uses a 7-ply 3/4" die board to ensure exact stability of the rule
• Every board is Laser burned for precise slot width and complete accuracy.
• After the image has been laser burned through the die board, a special coating is applied to the board to maintain the stability and prevent any damage to the board by any undesirable conditions.
• Empire has several in-house brands of steel cutting rule, center bevel rule, side bevel rule, perforating rule, creasing rule and others to ensure the proper rule is used for the material being cut.
• Empire will use their standard offsets for each type of rule used in conjunction with the material being cut. (unless, otherwise specified by the customer)
• Empire's die making shop has the latest in die making equipment, we are equipped with Automated benders, but still do revert back to the manual benders for those extra challenging parts that need a special type of tooling.
• As mentioned above, Empire dies are all Laser burned for greater accuracy with the slot width, step and repeat, and to provide the customers with a faster turn around in this demanding, fast paced, working environment, that we supply in.
• Each Empire die after completion, will be sent to the customer with a sheet of soft closed cell ejection rubber on it, this is used to ease the ejection of the material from the die when it is die cut, unless otherwise specified by the customer.

Tolerance

• All standard dies, will be sent out to the customers specifications with a +/- .008 tolerance.
• All special shaped or irregular shape dies will be sent out to the customers specifications with a +/- .010 tolerance.
• Material .020 and over in thickness will require a +/- .015 tolerance.
• The customer will be responsible for checking the die cut parts at there facility, to ensure they are within the specifications, this is always a good practice, because of the flexible nature of steel rule dies and the wide range of materials being cut.
